Under the Sister Park Agreement between Pearl Harbor National Memorial and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the National Park Service and Pacific Historic Parks will lead a program bringing students from Hawai‘i to Hiroshima. This program aims to foster mutual understanding by acknowledging cultural differences, sharing values, and promoting reflections on peace. The goal is to encourage future-oriented exchanges through immersive, in-person learning experiences, including museum tours, participation in a Peace Forum, and testimony from Hibakusha (atomic bomb survivors).
