The Lone Sailor

World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument

The Lone Sailor statue is the iconic symbol representing the US Navy Memorial’s mission to honor, recognize and celebrate the men and women of the sea services. By placing Lone Sailor statues around the world, we honor, recognize and celebrate these men and women wherever they serve.

On October 13, 2017, the 242nd Navy Birthday, this Lone Sailor Statue was dedicated on the grounds of the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument.
